Elements of Shipping

Courses Fee: $41.00
What is it?

The programme will provide an introductory knowledge on shipping for the participants. The course will cover the ship types, main cargo segments, and trade routes. The course will give also an understanding of the trading process and the documents involved. At the end of the programme, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.

Programme Objectives

  • To provide the participants with a basic understanding of shipping.

  • To highlight the importance of Singapore as a shipping centre.

  • To provide a basic understanding of the documents required in the shipping process.

Courses Fee: $22.89 (after subsidy)
Register by: 28 December 2020 (Monday)
Who can apply?

   

  • Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents

  • Physically and/or hearing impaired

  • GCE A/O Level or Polytechnic graduate

How will I benefit?

 

  • Acquire relevant skills valued by the industry

  • Job placement opportunities available according to one's skills

  • Receive in-training allowance of $6/hr for unemployed trainees (capped at $72 per trainee)

  • Receive Training Commitment Award funding of $100 per completed training course**

  • Receive course fee funding via SkillsFuture Credit to offset the net fee*

        *Singapore citizen aged 25 yrs old and above

       **Achieve at least 75% attendance per course

How to apply?

Application Procedures

  1. Fill out the training registration form and submit it online. 

  2. Submit the Letter of Undertaking and any proof of disability to info@ics.org.sg. (POD can be in a form of VWO (disability) membership card, SGE Public Concession Card, etc.)

  3. Register and submit the required documents by 28 December 2020.
